I LOVE FOOD! Also I love making friends and enjoying the time with friends. So, going out with new friends from Archer College is always fun for me.

Since so many kinds of cultural backgrounds have been mixed in Hamilton like Toronto, you can enjoy various countries’ food such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Mexican, Greek, Italian and German, etc. How can I count all of them!

In my opinion food is the most enjoyable cultural presentation. Especially if I am with Spanish speaking friends in Mexican restaurant or Vietnamese friends in Vietnamese place, I can learn their culture, food and life more deeply during the time.

As we are all international students, we often have farewell parties for students who are about to go back to their home countries. Even though the last moment is too sad to watch (because we need to say goodbye), still it is good to throw a nice farewell party for our loving friends.

Wintertime in Canada is a different experience, especially for People like me, who come from tropical and warm countries. We only have rainy seasons, but we don’t have snow, only in some very high mountains.

One of the most exciting activities in wintertime is to go skiing. A group of 8 students from Taiwan, Korea, Colombia, Venezuela & Switzerland went to Chicopee Ski Club with 2 Canadian friends to enjoy and have fun. For some of them, it was not their first experience with the skis. Some of them decided to practice snowboarding, especially the people from Korea. They were really good doing that, however me and 2 other girls, one from Venezuela and the other from Taiwan had to take 1 hour of ski lessons.

At first it was too difficult, you felt you will be hurt every time you fall down but in just a few minutes you improve and in less than 2 hours you are skiing. The speed you reach is amazing, you feel the cold wind on your face but you don’t care because you are too excited to continue going downhill. Sometimes you lose control of your skis and fall, but nothing dangerous can happen to you.

Well, if you are in Canada, you definitely have to go skiing. It is a good opportunity to let the adrenaline run through your body, enjoy a good trip and have fun with all your friends.
