Archer Education Group continually promotes participation in community events in all aspects of the program. Throughout the year, staff and students are encouraged to get out and get involved. This sense of social responsibility held by the Archer Group helps to contribute to the local community that each school belongs.

Archer College Vancouver organizes a weekly running group with races scheduled throughout the year. On June 5th, 15 people participated in a 5km run to raise money to support the Vancouver’s Children’s Hospital. Upcoming races include a 10km Run for Muscular Dystrophy and the Terry Fox run in September. Teachers and students meet on Wednesdays at 4:45 for run along the seawall, through Stanley Park, or down to one of the local beaches. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, get healthy, and meet new friends.

The Oarsome Eight, Archer College Hamilton’s own rowing team, will begin rowing soon. This will be our 5th consecutive year of rowing. Our crew consists of teachers, students, and Canadians who have participated in student activities and conversation classes. Race day is on July 22nd. Whether we win or lose, we will have a lot of fun and raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Last year $27,000 was raised.
