Internship programs from 6-11 months in length will be paid internships. For shorter programs internships are available, but will most likely be unpaid due to business requirements.
Registration Procedure
1. Complete application form and submit it with the following
documents:
- Resume: outlining your previous work experience and educational background. - Cover letter: explain why you are interested in working for a Canadian company, what type of work you are looking for, etc. 2. An Archer representative will contact you to arrange an on-line examination and interview, and will advise you on your course selection based on your results. 3. An invoice will be forwarded to you outlining the fees and course dates. Upon receiving payment, Archer will issue Letter of Acceptance for acquiring your study and work permits. 4. Apply for your student visa and work permit (if you will do internship), and send copies to Archer once you receive them.

Internship combines your studies in the Business English,
Hospitality, Business Administration or Information Technology Programs with a
placement in an English speaking work environment. The internship will give
participants the opportunity to put knowledge and skills to use in a Canadian
or International company and gain valuable experience that could lead to job
placements in Canada or around the world.

International Business Program - The Business program is focused on the competitive global market and its fast paced environment. This is an intensive program that will prepare participants for the workplace. Modules available include:
Module 1 - Sales and Marketing
Module 2 - Management and Leadership
Module 3 - Finance and Investment
Module 4 - Human Resources
Module 5 - Global Entrepreneurship
Module 6 - Business Practices and Ethics
Each Module is 4 weeks in length and 25 hours per week.

International Hospitality Program (Vancouver Only)- This program offers students the ability to further their knowledge of the Hospitality and Tourism industry in an international classroom. There is a strong emphasis placed on effective communication and social awareness. Participants in this program are able to continue their learning outside of the classroom while taking part in an internship with a Canadian or international company in this sector. The Archer International Hospitality Certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of all 6 modules of the course. Students taking individual modules will be awarded certificates for the modules they successfully complete. Upon the completion of each module of study, students will write the final exam from the American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA), and will receive an additional certificate from AH&LA for successfully passing the exams.
