Another beautiful city in the province of Ontario is Hamilton.

 While quite close to Toronto (about 45 minutes away by car) Hamilton operates at a much slower pace. Hamilton has many attractions: the beautiful Botanical Gardens, as well as cultural events and excellent winter and summer sport activities. It boasts the world famous McMaster University, well-known for its excellent medical school and innovative science programs.
