Trent Whalen began
his career in
the education
field in 1988
as a junior high
school teacher
in northern Manitoba,
where he taught
for three years.
He also taught
at the junior
high school level
in Ontario for
a year, and has
gained experience
overseas teaching
in public schools
in Thailand (1
year) and Japan
(3 years).
After returning
from Japan in
1995 he, along
with Bob Korzeniowski.,
established Winfield
College in Vancouver,
and helped develop
the school into
a highly reputable
language training
institution.
He
has experience
in all areas of
the ESL industry
and has served
on the Board of
Directors for
the Canadian Association
of Private Language
Schools (CAPLS),
and was the acting
ad hoc Chairperson
for the BC area
of the association
in 2002 and 2003.
